Arsenal extended their unbeaten league run to seven games as they dumped Wigan Athletic back to the foot of the table with a 4-0 win at the DW Stadium.
First-half goals from Mikel Arteta and Thomas Vermaelen put the Gunners in control and from then they never looked like losing as Wigan struggled to get back into the game.
The Gunners controlled most of the match and extended their lead further through Gervinho on the hour mark before Robin van Persie sealed the win with 11 minutes remaining.
