Barcelona ensured the gap between themselves and La Liga leaders Real Madrid remained at 10 points with a 2-0 away win over Racing Santander.
The visitors led 1-0 in the 29th minute when Lionel Messi pushed forward to dive and knock Cesc FÃ bregas' cross into the net.
And Messi doubled the advantage 11 minutes into the second half from the penalty spot, coolly stroking the ball into the bottom right corner after FÃ bregas had been fouled in the area.
