Marko Arnautović scored a stunning winner in the dying minutes to give Austria a 3-2 friendly win over European Championship co-hosts Ukraine on Friday.

Austria took a third-minute lead when Zlatko Junuzović curled a free-kick beyond Ukraine goalkeeper Oleksandr Horyainov, who was substituted at half-time.

A frantic period of play started in the 11th minute of the second half when Oleh Husyev drew Ukraine level with a simple tap in finish.

Arnautović restored Austria's lead six minutes later with a powerful effort low into the corner but Husyev made it 2-2 just three minutes later, firing home a long-range thunderbolt of a shot into the top corner.

The game looked to be heading to a draw until Arnautović grabbed the winner for Austria with just a minute remaining.

The Werder Bremen striker received the ball on the left wing, cut inside the box, and with his right foot unleashed a perfectly curled shot into the top corner of the far post.
