Schoolboy battling leukaemia leads Liverpool out to victory at Aston Villa

Monday, April 1, 2013

An eight-year-old Liverpool fan who is battling leukaemia for the second time led his heroes out before their 2-1 win at Aston Villa on Sunday.

Joshua Jackson seemed to have won a three-year battle against Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia in 2010, but the condition returned late last year.

But the youngster is fighting back and was told his status has improved to "low risk".

Afterwards his Twitter account @Battling_joshua posted a series of photos with the caption: #bestdayever #joshuabeatingcancer.
