It was only in a pretty meaningless end of season friendly but Wesley Sneijder's goal that capped the Netherlands' 2-0 win against China on Tuesday is a thing to behold.

The Dutch are currently pottering round Asia on a friendly mini-tour, with their second game coming against China in Beijing having already beaten Indonesia at the weekend.

Playing with their names etched in Chinese on the backs of their shirts, Louis van Gaal's men went 1-0 up early on through a Robin van Persie penalty after 11 minutes.

Sneijder rounded off a comfortable win for the Netherlands with a deft backheeled finish in the 66th minute.

The Galatasaray playmaker helped create the goal, charging onto a long ball and producing an excellent first touch to find van Persie, who picked out Arjen Robben in space on the wing.

Robben cut back a simple ball and Sneijder was in the right place at the right time, with the 29-year-old showing tremendous imagination to convert with a spinning backheel.
