Former England manager Sven-Göran Eriksson has admitted that his dream job would be that of Liverpool manager, but concedes that he will never get the opportunity.
The 65-year-old, currently working in China as manager of Guangzhou R&F, has always supported the Reds and that it was his ambition to take charge at Anfield.
But despite being given and offered a selection of the biggest managerial jobs in England, the opportunity to manage Liverpool has never presented itself during his career.
Eriksson told talkSPORT: "In the past, it was always a dream to manage Liverpool but that will not happen.
"I've always been a Liverpool fan. My father was a Liverpool fan so it's in the family.
"Liverpool have been doing rather well this season, better than for many years, and I hope they can compete this year in the Premier League because they haven't done that for a long time."
