José Mourinho wants Diego Costa & Thibaut Courtois at Chelsea

Sunday, June 15, 2014

Chelsea manager José Mourinho believes Atlético Madrid pair of striker Diego Costa and goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois will be at Stamford Bridge next season.

Costa is widely expected to join the Blues after dropping a strong hint before the World Cup that he would be heading to Stamford Bridge.

And Mourinho has now revealed that he has demanded Costa be snapped up as he looks to reinvest cash earned from recent big-money sales of Juan Mata to Manchester United and David Luiz to Paris Saint-Germain.

The Portuguese told MARCA: "Costa is a player I want in my team.

"I've asked the club to bring him in and I am extremely confident that we are going to get him and he'll end up signing for Chelsea."

Mourinho then spoke of his desire for young goalkeeper Courtois to return to his parent club for next season, having spent the last three seasons on loan at Atlético.

The 22-year-old Belgian has previously suggested he would prefer not to play understudy to regular Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Čech.

"When the World Cup in Brazil is over, Courtois will be coming straight back to Stamford Bridge - end of story," Mourinho insisted.
