The North London outfit are looking to add a new face to their leaky defense, and Football Insider is reporting that the 22-year-old has been identified as the perfect fit for the club who now has Thomas Frank as manager.
According to the report, the Ukrainian defender is the subject of interest to the Lilywhites ahead of the new 2025/26 Premier League season.
Meanwhile, fans are already showing interest in the Tottenham tickets.
Tottenham Step Up Interest in Zabarnyi
Although Paris Saint-Germain have shown interest in Zabarnyi, Bournemouth are holding out for a fee in the region of £60 million.
However, the reigning 2024/25 UEFA Europa League champions are stepping up efforts to secure the young defender from the Cherries this summer.
Since arriving at Bournemouth from Dynamo Kyiv in January 2023, Zabarnyi has become one of the Premier League's most dependable defenders. The 22-year-old has put up several consistent performances, and it is easy to see why a number of teams are interested in his services.
Tottenham Hotspur's pursuit of Zabarnyi is understandable as they continue their search for a new centre-back this summer. With doubts lingering over Cristian Romero's long-term future, Spurs have identified several potential options, including Maxence Lacroix and the Bournemouth star.
The Ukrainian international has made close to 100 appearances for Bournemouth, contributing a goal and an assist during his time at the club so far.
Apart from Tottenham, reports have also linked Zabarnyi with a move to the UCL Champions PSG. Luis Enrique's side are also in the market for a new centre-back with the future of Presnel Kimpembe and Lucas Beraldo facing an uncertain future at Parc des Princes.
Bournemouth are set to value the 22-year-old Ukrainian defender at approximately £60 million. With Tottenham and PSG showing interest, it remains to be seen where Zabarnyi's next destination will be.
An Important Summer Transfer Window for Tottenham
This summer transfer window is a huge one for Tottenham. They have already done some deals, including the arrival of a new coach in the dugout ahead of the new season.
The Whites replaced Europa League-winning Ange Postecoglou with former Brentford manager Thomas Frank.
Frank, while speaking to the press after he was confirmed as the new Spurs manager, expressed his happiness at being given the chance to lead the club.
"The feeling of being the new head coach is extraordinary. I'm really looking forward to this massive challenge together with a lot of good people. I only heard good stuff about all the people here, the training ground, the players, good squad, exciting, massive club, I think massive potential, so just super, super excited."
Frank also spoke about the need for cooperation between the club's hierarchy, himself, and the rest of the technical crew.
"They've done a very, very good process. I would say Daniel Levy and Vinai and Johan Lange. I've had very good conversations and meetings with them, where we discussed everything in depth, details about club structure, processes, and of course I came with my view on things and how I saw it and my ideas and the way I want to do things and how I try to build a team and the club, and of course it's not, it's not just me.
"I think the alignment is key from top to bottom, and of course it starts from Daniel and Vinai and Johan and me, and the more the four of us can be aligned, just like a unit and like unbreakable unit, the stronger we will be, and there will be ups and downs. I think right now it's a fairy tale. Everyone is happy. The sun is shining. It's fantastic, but we haven't played one game yet.
"Hopefully, we win a lot. We'll work very hard every single day to make sure we create as many magic moments for the fans, and put them together and hopefully at the end of the season there will be a very good season, but the alignment in terms of structure, processes, transfers, squad, playing style, culture, all that is is key."
Since that announcement by the club, it has been a bit chaotic for them in the transfer window with little activity. The Whites went ahead to make the signings of Kevin Danso (£21m, Lens) and Mathys Tel (£29.8m, Bayern Munich) permanent after they spent last season on loan in North London.
However, Mohammed Kudus, who arrived from West Ham United in a £55m deal, remains the high-profile arrival for the Whites in the summer transfer window so far.
"I've always wanted to play at the highest level,” Kudus said about his move to North London. “I know how big the club is, the history and the Champions League as well, so it's a big moment for me," he added. "I'm finally here, I'm very happy and can't wait to start.
"The most important part of why I came here is the project and how the manager sees I can develop under him. Where he's come from and seeing the amount of talent he's developed to become great players, it's a big sign of why I wanted to work under him as well."
He added: "I'm a very direct winger, strong, very good in taking players on and creating chances, so there is a lot of flair in my game. I like to entertain the fans as well.
"It's about putting a memory in the heads of the fans that they have when they go back home and after the money they've spent to buy a ticket. The fans are really going to enjoy what I'm going to bring to the team. That's what football is about.
"Although there is also a lot of seriousness and competitiveness in the game, I still think it's a sport I try to enjoy as much as I can and give the fans something to enjoy too. I hope fans are going to really enjoy what I'm going to bring to the team here."
