Italian media also report that the woman later messaged the agency saying she was staying overnight at Bastoni's house and would return the following day.

The inquiry centres on Ma.De Events, a company based in Cinisello Balsamo that investigators suspect acted as a front for an escort operation.Italian newspaper Il Giorno previously reported that financial police identified around 70 individuals linked to the company's exclusive events, including footballers from Inter, AC Milan and other Serie A clubs, as well as athletes from other sports.
At present, there is no indication that everyone who attended those events committed any offence. Prosecutors are instead seeking to establish whether any participants knowingly solicited prostitution or were involved in criminal activity.
