The 40-year-old believes that the England international should make the move to San Siro and will be playing for one of the best coaches in the modern game in Mourinho.

Lampard has made it clear he wishes to join the Italian champions, but so far his club is willing to hold him to is willing to hold Lampard to his contract, even if that means losing him on a free transfer next summer.

The Serie A giants have agreed personal terms with the Chelsea star, but the Stamford Bridge side are refusing to enter negotiations over a £7 million move.

Inter president Massimo Moratti said that they have done all they can and now it depends on Lampard to make his intentions clear of where he wants to spend the new season.
