Totti out for two months

Tuesday, December 23, 2008

AS Roma skipper Francesco Totti faces a two-month injury lay-off after picking up a potential serious injury against Catania.

Totti had to be taken off after 30 minutes in the match and the latest reports suggest that the problem may be serious.

The 32-year-old underwent tests at the Villa Stuart clinic this morning and the results show a muscular strain to his right leg.

Sky Italia claim he will be out until February, missing crucial match against AC Milan and maybe even the Champions League last 16 dates with Arsenal.

However, early indications suggest he will be out for 55 days, even though the club are yet to confirm this with further tests planned over the next few days.
