Makélélé's house robbed

[Tuesday, January 20, 2009 ]

A Porsche and a Mercedes were stolen from Claude Makélélé's house just outside the French capital.

Burglars stole the vehicles after the former France and Chelsea midfielder's house was broken into on Sunday night.

Items of jewellery worth thousands of euros are also believed to have been stolen in the burglary, which was discovered at 8.26pm, according to French daily Le Parisien.

The 35-year-old Makélélé was in action for Paris St Germain against Sochaux. He was withdrawn at half-time of that match because of injury.
