A Manchester United fan who vowed to post revealing pictures every day until Michael Carrick is sacked has made another bold promise following the club's humiliating defeat to Bournemouth.

Skylar Skye, a social media personality and passionate United supporter, first launched her unusual campaign after the Red Devils suffered a 4-1 Champions League defeat against Como 1907.

But after United slumped to a 3-0 home defeat against Bournemouth, Skye made it clear that she believes the club's problems extend beyond the manager.

Her message reflects the wider frustration among some supporters who believe responsibility for the club's struggles should extend beyond the dugout.

The campaign has also generated reactions from United fans, with some joking that Carrick should remain in charge to ensure Skye continues her daily posts.

Manchester United lose 3-0 to Bournemouth

United's defeat at Old Trafford on Sunday, 25 October, intensified the pressure surrounding Carrick.

Bournemouth scored three times to secure a comprehensive victory, with Rayan opening the scoring in the 38th minute before Marcus Tavernier doubled the visitors' advantage five minutes later. Evanilson added the third goal in the second half.

The result extended United's winless run and left them 16th in the Premier League, just one point above the relegation zone.

Carrick had already been facing criticism following the 4-1 defeat against Como in the Champions League.

Questions have also emerged over his tactical decisions after captain Bruno Fernandes publicly criticised aspects of the team's approach. Fernandes was subsequently left out of the starting line-up against Bournemouth.

The growing scrutiny has placed Carrick's position under the spotlight, although the manager has continued to insist that the team must improve their performances.

Michael Carrick remains under pressure at Old Trafford

Carrick acknowledged the seriousness of United's situation during a press conference before the Bournemouth match.

In an unusual opening to the media briefing, he delivered a lengthy statement before taking questions from journalists, admitting that the club had struggled to meet expectations.

His position became even more uncertain following the defeat, but he remained in charge after senior club officials held discussions about his future.

United's next fixture against Chelsea on Saturday, 31 October, offers another important test for Carrick and his players.

With United struggling near the bottom of the table, further disappointing results could intensify calls for changes.

Skylar Skye's campaign highlights wider United frustration

Skye's social media campaign has provided an unconventional distraction from United's problems on the pitch.

Her original pledge focused on Carrick's dismissal, but the subsequent reference to the Glazers and INEOS suggests that her dissatisfaction extends to the club's wider leadership.

For many United supporters, the debate is no longer simply about the manager. Questions surrounding ownership, recruitment, tactics and performances have all contributed to the frustration surrounding the club.

Whether Skye continues posting pictures remains to be seen. Meanwhile, Carrick faces the more immediate challenge of improving results and convincing United's hierarchy that he can turn the season around.
