David Beckham, Sir Sean Connery and Keanu Reeves have appeared in a Chinese advert, promoting a Viagra-like medication.
Beckham appears for about 30 seconds in the commercial as a badly-dubbed Chinese voiceover speaks of the player's 'love' for the Viagra-style pills.
Connery, who is most famous for his role as James Bond, and Matrix star Reeves are also being used to promote the sex drug.
In the ad, he appears to tell viewers: "I turned 70 this year. But with the help of USA Selikon capsules, I was praised by Barbara that I'm still James Bond, forever 25. I have told all my aged friends 'You should try USA Selikon capsules.'"
While in interview clips of Reeves, a voice says: "The feelings after my kidneys got washed by USA Selikon capsules are surprising. And my girlfriends were also surprised."
This isn't the first time the England midfielder fallen prey to unauthorised use of his image in China as a range of condoms named after the AC Milan star is one of the best-selling brands of condoms in the country. Chinese copyright law is supposedly tricky and notoriously complicated, which makes it difficult for celebrities to take legal action against companies that use their likeness without consent. According to lawyers in China, there is a chance that the commercial could be deemed legal because stars are allowed to be used to advertise products that promote public health.
