AC Milan have made contact with the agent of Samuel Eto'o to resume what had taken place already a year ago.
According La Gazzetta dello Sport, Eto'o has refused to renew his contract with Barcelona beyond 2010 as the Cameroon striker wants a better deal from the Spanish club, with reports suggesting he would like the same salary as Argentine ace Lionel Messi.
However, with the Spanish giants unwilling to bow to those demands, the exit door is creaking open.
There was talks over an extension until 2014 for Eto'o, however, the player’s agent, Josep Maria Mesalles, has distanced himself from a long-term contract.
Reports in La Gazzetta dello Sport state that the Rossoneri have made a provisional approach for the man they chased last summer before landing Ronaldinho.
Manchester City are also said to be interested in Eto'o, but the player is unlikely to be tempted by a move to Eastlands as he wants Champions League football.
