Juventus striker Amauri has sensationally claimed former Palermo striking partner Fabrizio Miccoli "is the best teammate he's ever had."
The Brazilian took Palermo to great heights in his partnership with Miccoli and now is challenging for the Scudetto with the Bianconeri.
Amauri, who joined Juventus last summer, has been outstanding alongside Alessandro Del Piero, but he believes he enjoyed a better linkage with Miccoli.
Miccoli, nicknamed ‘The Romario of Salento’, has seen his career held back by injury worries, but has scored ten goals so far this season.
"Miccoli and Del Piero are two incredible champions," Amauri told Mediagol. "For the consistency he has shown through all these years, Alex is proving he’s still got what it takes.
"As for Fabri, aside from our very close friendship, has extraordinary qualities. Unfortunately, his injuries last year prevented us from playing a fantastic season together.
"I can honestly say that Miccoli is probably the best teammate I have ever played with."
