Ribéry could replace Ronaldo at Man United

Tuesday, March 3, 2009

France and Bayern Munich playmaker Franck Ribéry could move to Manchester United if Cristiano Ronaldo decides to join Real Madrid, according to the Frenchman's agent.

The 25-year-old has been strongly linked with a summer move to Barcelona but now Ribéry's agent, Alain Migliaccio, has stated that the Red Devils are also interested in his client.

With rumours of Ronaldo's proposed move to Spain refusing to go away, Migliaccio believes that, should the world and European player of the year join the Spanish gaints, United would look to replace him with Ribéry.

He told Bild: "If Manchester United sells Cristiano Ronaldo, Sir Alex Ferguson would like to cover that transfer with Ribéry's signature."
