Soccer team play without uniforms after their bus was stolen

Monday, March 16, 2009

Italian Serie B club Reggiana were left stranded ahead of their away match at Hellas Verona on Sunday because their team bus containing their kit was stolen.

According to Channel4, the Reggio Emilia squad stayed overnight at a hotel in Verona, but when they got up in the morning, the bus had vanished.

To make matters worse, the bus contained their shirts, socks and shorts.

Thus, the players must take to the field with an all-white strip borrowed from the home side.

The Lega Calcio notes the game will not be postponed, as the clubs didn’t submit any request for postponement of the match.
