Barcelona extended their lead to six points at the top of the table with just six games remaining following a 4-0 pounding of third-placed Sevilla at the Camp Nou.
The hosts took just three minutes to grab the lead as Andrés Iniesta lobbed Javi Varas with a superb dipping effort from outside the box.
Samuel Eto'o made it two after 16 minutes when he finished off a classy team move involving Xavi and Iniesta with a low finish.
Xavi added a third four minutes into the second half when he curled a brilliant right-footed shot into the top corner.
Thierry Henry wrapped up the match five minutes later as the French striker latched onto Iniesta's pass and beat Varas with a low angled shot.
