Barcelona remain six points clear at the La Liga summit with a narrow but richly-deserved victory at Getafe.
Thierry Henry was presented with a golden chance to open the scoring in the fifth minute. Rafa López, anxious to keep the ball from the feet of Lionel Messi, diverted it to the Frenchman whose effort was superbly parried by goalkeeper Vladimir Stojković.
But Stojković was picking the ball out of his net on 19 minutes. Messi held off Daniel Díaz's challenge to receive a pass in the penalty area before moving past two defenders to squeeze his left-footed shot into the bottom-right corner.
Gerard Piqué could have doubled the lead in the 26th minute but his brilliant overhead kick was kept out by Stojković.
Stojković produced another magnificent save four minutes before the break, flinging himself to his right to keep out a curling Messi effort.
Messi had a second effort incorrectly ruled out for offside and Samuel Eto'o hit the post, but Barça had done enough and remain on course for a first La Liga title since 2006.

Real Madrid scraped a narrow 1-0 win from a trip to Recreativo Huelva to keep up the pressure on Barcelona at the top of La Liga.

Los Blancos came close again on 34 minutes when Raúl guided Marcelo's centering shot on goal but off the near post and Sergio Ramos couldn't handle the rebound.
Real went ahead shortly after half-time when full-back Marcelo sped ahead of his marker to receive Fernando Gago's through ball before firing a sweet shot across Riesgo and into the net.
Robben had the chance to put the victory beyond doubt when he was one on one with Riesgo in the 73rd minute but his toe-poke was smothered and deflected out for a corner.
