Genoa president Enrico Preziosi has confirmed that Diego Milito and Thiago Motta will play at Inter Milan for the 2009/10 season.

The Grifone pair will join the newly-crowned Italian champions in exchange for cash plus Robert Acquafresca.

"I met with (Inter president Massimo) Moratti over breakfast and we agreed a deal," Preziosi said during an interview with TeleNord.

"It is official. It was a painful decision and I thank the players for all they have done for us this season.

"There are some economic and technical parts to the move, but I will only confirm Acquafresca is included."

Acquafresca is therefore turned over to Genoa as part of the double deal, but it is not clear yet whether the Azzurrini striker will join Gian Piero Gasperini's side permanently, or on a co-ownership arrangement.

Acquafresca is owned by Inter and on loan at Cagliari this term, but was told he was surplus to requirements at San Siro.
