The protests were all over the country with the Betis fans having similar events in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Montilla (Córdoba) and even other European countries like Belgium and France.

Betis were relegated from La Liga this season, along with Recreativo Huelva and Numancia.

Several ex-Betis players participated in the demonstration, including former Spain internationals Hipolito Rincon, Rafael Gordillo and Julio Cardeñosa.

At the end of the event, José Manuel Soto, an artist and singer, read a manifesto which gave various reasons for the demonstrators to end Lopera's reign at Los Verdiblancos.

After the event, which lasted about two hours, the demonstrators were dissolved in a peaceful manner.
