Martín Palermo heads home from 40 yards!

Tuesday, October 6, 2009

Veteran Boca Juniors striker Martín Palermo has made a bid for the Guinness Book of Records after scoring an extraordinary 40-yard header last Sunday.

The 35-year-old Argentine intercepted a clearance from Vélez Sársfield goalkeeper German Montoya with a first-time header that found its way into an unguarded net.

To make it even sweeter, it was his 200th goal for Boca and they went on to win the match 3-2 against the reigning champions.
