Sevilla slipped further off the title pace as they slumped to a surprise 2-1 defeat at home to Getafe.
Getafe took the lead in the 12nd minute when Roberto Soldado sprint onto Jaime Gavilán's pass and knock the ball past the helpless Andrés Palop.
The visitors went two up after 33 minutes as Sergio Sánchez failed to intercept Juan Albín's through pass, letting Soldado burst through and score from a tight angle on the right.
Álvaro Negredo pulled one back at the start of the second half, but the hosts were unable to find a way back into the game.
