Edin Džeko's agent claims Chelsea are interested in signing the highly-rated Vfl Wolfsburg striker.
The 23-year-old is expected to leave the Bundesliga side in the summer, with AC Milan believed to be leading the race for his signature.
The Rossoneri did everything to secure his services but could not agree terms on the deal.
And Džeko's representative, Silvano Martina, has warned Milan that they could face stiff competition from Chelsea.
Martina told calciomercato.it: "I can confirm that Milan really likes the player. At the time in Italy they are the club which showed most interest.
"But attention must be paid to Chelsea as the Blues are following Džeko."
