Abel Hernández scored twice in the first half, making the breakthrough on 28 minutes after Fabrizio Miccoli had struck the post and adding another nine minutes later.
Igor Budan added the third in the 57th minute when Fabio Liverani flicked on Miccoli's freekick and the Croatian spun round and volleyed past Sébastien Frey.
