Manchester United cruised into the Champions League quarterfinals with a 4-0 home victory over AC Milan, completing a memorable 7-2 aggregate triumph.
Wayne Rooney headed home Gary Neville's superb cross in the 13th minute to hand his side an early advantage and left Milan needing to score three times.
It was 2-0 just 54 seconds after the restart as Nani sped away down the left, played the ball in with the outside of his right foot, and Rooney clipped it past the hopelessly exposed Christian Abbiati in goal.
Park Ji-Sung slid in United's third in the 59th after being fed by Paul Scholes, ending any chance of a Milan comeback minutes before former United hero David Beckham made his long-awaited entrance to a chorus of "One David Beckham".
Darren Fletcher then scored a fourth in the 87th minute, meeting Rafael da Silva's cross at the far post and heading beyond Abbiati.
