World Cup 2010 Group A: Mexico 0-1 Uruguay

Uruguay secured top spot in Group A after beating Mexico 1-0 in their final group game, although the Mexicans still advanced to the knockout round at the expense of hosts South Africa.

Luis Suárez scored the winner two minutes before the interval as he headed in Edinson Cavani's floated cross to put to bed conspiracy theories they were playing for the draw.

Mexico also advanced to the round of 16 thanks to better goal difference than South Africa, which beat France 2-1.
