Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has opted out of a war of words with recently-departed striker Zlatan Ibrahimović.
Ibrahimović blasted his former coach following his loan switch to AC Milan, claiming that Guardiola hadn't spoken to him for six months and that he didn't understand why the Barça boss had taken such a stand.
But rather than being drawn into a war of words with the Sweden international, Guardiola showed real maturity in answering questions.
Guardiola told a press conference: "I understand, by what he has been saying and what his official spokesperson has said, that they were not happy working with me.
"Still, I cannot say anything bad about Ibrahimović. I am grateful for his hard work and his help in winning the five titles. I don't know if we would have done it without him.
"I hope that in Milan he finds the team he deserves. He has helped me grow as a coach."
