Premier League: Birmingham 0-2 Everton

Sunday, October 3, 2010

Everton secured their first league win of the campaign and ended Birmingham City's 18-game unbeaten home Premier League record after a 2-0 triumph at St Andrews.

The Toffees, who failed to register a win from their first six games, went ahead after 54 minutes when Birmingham defender Roger Johnson diverted the ball into his own net as he attempted to cut out Leon Osman's low cross.

And Everton sealed the victory in the last minute of injury time as Tim Cahill headed home from Leighton Baines' fizzed cross.
