Real Madrid climbed above rivals Barcelona and into third place in the La Liga standings after a stunning 6-1 home win over a hapless Deportivo La Coruña.
José Mourinho's side were 3-0 up by half-time thanks to goals from Cristiano Ronaldo, Mesut Özil and Ángel di María, before an effort from Gonzalo Higuaín on 53 minutes and own goal from Zé Castro on 60 minutes ended the tie as a contest.
Juan Rodríguez did pull one back for the visitors on 78 minutes, but Ronaldo put the icing on the cake with his second in the dying moments of the game.
