Valencia cemented their place at the top of La Liga table after a dramatic 2-1 win over Athletic Bilbao at the Mestalla.
Aritz Aduriz headed the hosts in front inside 11 minutes before Vicente Rodríguez doubled the advantage in stoppage time at the end of the game.
Bilbao pulled a goal back almost immediately through Igor Gabilondo's brilliant 25-yard free-kick, but despite a frantic finish they were unable to find that all-important leveller.
