Newcastle United climbed up to ninth place in the Premier League with a 2-1 win over rock-bottom West Ham at Upton Park.
The hosts took the lead after just 12 minutes through Carlton Cole, but Kevin Nolan lashed home an equalizer for Newcastle midway through the first half.
Andy Carroll then settled the contest when he powered a header past Robert Green with little over 20 minutes left.
