A remarkable moment happened on Saturday when Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher played for 26 minutes against Aston Villa without a name or number on his back.
During the second half, the Scot was sent to the sideline after he got a hit in the mouth that left his shirt with a bloodstained.
But far from being warned by the referee, Fletcher was playing from 64 minutes to the end of the clash with the nameless and numberless shirt.
