Villarreal cemented their place in third spot in La Liga thanks to a fine 3-0 win at last-place Real Zaragoza.
Marcos Senna fired the visitors ahead after just nine minutes with a shot from outside the penalty area, and Santi Carzola added the second before the 20-minute mark.
Things got worse for Zaragoza on 64 minutes when defender Matteo Contini was sent off and a minute later Nilmar sealed a fine win with the third.
