Mario Balotelli hit a brace before being sent off as Manchester City claimed a 2-0 win at West Bromwich Albion to halt their three-match losing run in all competitions.
Balotelli first netted on 20 minutes after combining with captain Carlos Tévez and the Italian doubled the lead six minutes later after a pass from David Silva.
But Balotelli then received his marching orders in the 63rd minute following a tussle with Youssuf Mulumbu, who was himself sent off with eight minutes remaining for a late challenge on Tévez.
