Napoli kept the pressure on Serie A leaders AC Milan with a 2-0 victory against mid-table Bologna at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara.
Giuseppe Mascara put Napoli in front on the half hour mark after Bologna goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano failed to control a backheeled effort from Ezequiel Lavezzi.
Marek Hamšík doubled the lead with a penalty just before halftime after Viviano tripped Lavezzi inside the area.
