The 33-year-old coach, a protege of José Mourinho, is widely regarded as the brightest young tactician in Europe after impressing on his debut season at the Estádio do Dragão.

Porto are on course to add the Portuguese Cup to the league title, while the Europa League final is also in their sights after thrashing Villarreal 5-1 in the first leg of the semi-final.

His achievements have not gone unnoticed with Premier League duo Manchester City and Liverpool, as well as Italian giants Juventus are thought to be interested in the tactician.

Asked if he would allow Villas-Boas to leave at the end of the season, Pinto da Costa said: "For starters, that is a scenario I do not consider, because he has said that he does not even want to listen to offers.

"He even said today, when he was told Juventus would come here, that it must have been for them to see him flaunt his suit with Porto's badge on it.

"He has said countless times he does not want to leave. If he does not want to leave, why should I be worried, if I do not want that either?

"I am absolutely sure he will be here next year."
