We've seen some shocking penalty misses in recent years but this one from Egypt could be the worst of all time.

Amir Sayoud trips while taking a penalty for Al-Ahly against Kima Aswan
Amir Sayoud of Egyptian giants Al-Ahly gained YouTube fame on Tuesday when he attempted to deceive Kima Aswan's goalkeeper from the spot.

The midfielder make a short run before faking his shoot but pulled back at the last second as the goalkeeper move to his right.

But as he tried to shoot, Sayoud got his studs caught on the turf and he fell flat on his face, nudging the ball into the goalkeeper at a snail's pace.

And just to turn all that could've gone wrong on this sequence into a reality, the referee showed him a yellow card for checking his run-up while taking the kick.

Sayoud's blushes were spared though as Al-Ahly won the match 4-0.
