Wayne Rooney attributes goal-scoring form to barber

Soccer star Wayne Rooney has revealed that his explosive start to the season is down to his hairdresser's "magical powers".

The Manchester United striker has been on top form and he puts it all down to his new head of hair and his top stylist Daniel J.

Before every single match, the Premier League top scorer has been having his newly acquired hair trimmed by the barber.

"Daniel J always keeps me looking sharp. And when I look sharp, I feel sharp," Rooney told The Daily Mirror.

"I don't know what it is but it's like his haircuts have magical powers because every time he gives me a trim I seem to go and score."

Rooney has referred United team-mate Rio Ferdinand to his hair-whisperer, and Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermain Defoe has also been persuaded to sit under his magical scissors.

He added: "All the lads have been asking me for Daniel's number. Of course I'm not giving it out to the (Manchester) City boys."
