Real Madrid maintained their impressive form at the top of La Liga with a comprehensive 3-0 triumph at Sporting Gijón.
Ángel di María opened the scoring after 34 minutes as he took advantage of slack defending to advance on goal and fire a neat finish past Juan Pablo from a tight angle.
Cristiano Ronaldo made it 2-0 in the 64th minute with the Portuguese winger rounding Juan Pablo and tucking inside the near post after being fed by di María.
The home side had midfielder Sebastián Eguren dismissed with 10 minutes remaining for a second caution and Madrid wrapped up the win in injury time through Marcelo.
