West Bromwich Albion prevented Manchester City from scoring for the first time this season as they held out for a goalless draw at The Hawthorns.
There was the occasional scare as City carved out chances and Mario Balotelli hit the crossbar, but Jerome Thomas also struck the woodwork for West Brom and Shane Long missed a glorious chance.
