Penalties either side of the break from Javier Hernández and Dimitar Berbatov saw Manchester United beat Stoke City 2-0 at Old Trafford.
Hernández put the Red Devils ahead seven minutes before the interval after Park Ji-Sung was brought down by a sliding tackle from Jermaine Pennant.
Jon Walters then pulled back Antonio Valencia and Berbatov added a second from the spot on 52 minutes to wrap up the win.
