Premier League: Man City 3-3 Sunderland

Sunday, April 1, 2012

Mario Balotelli netted a brace as Manchester City struck twice in the last six minutes to salvage a 3-3 draw with Sunderland at Etihad Stadium.

Sebastian Larsson set the ball rolling with a cool finish from the edge of the box but Balotelli equalised in the 43rd minute, converting a penalty after Craig Gardner brought down Edin Džeko.

Nicklas Bendtner headed the visitors back ahead deep into first-half stoppage time and Sunderland were 3-1 up early in the second half when Larsson grabbed his second from close range.

But pulled City back into the contest with a superb strike seven minutes from time before Aleksandar Kolarov drilled home from outside the area just 60 seconds later to earn the hosts a share of the spoils.
