Premier League: Wolves 0-3 Arsenal

Thursday, April 12, 2012

Arsenal are on course to finish third in the Premier League after cruising to a comfortable 3-0 victory at 10-man Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The hosts were reduced to 10 men early on at Molineux after Sébastien Bassong was sent off for bringing down Theo Walcott in the box, with Robin van Persie converting the resulting penalty.

Two minutes later and the ball was back in the bottom of Wolves' net again, after Walcott exchanged passes with van Persie before striking to make it 2-0 to the visitors.

The visitors sealed the success after the break when Yossi Benayoun latched onto an Alex Song pass before curling his shot from the edge of the area into the bottom right-hand corner.
