The AC Milan striker opened a Twitter account on Thursday night under the username @finallymario, much to the delight of many fans on the social network.
Announcing his arrival on the micro-blogging site, the eccentric striker tentatively tweeted: "How do I use this?????"
But it wasn't long before Balotelli had got to grips with his new play thing, posting pictures of himself with his beloved black labrador Lucky.
The 22-year-old has racked up 188,000 Twitter followers and counting in his first 15 hours - more than 12,000 users every hour.
