Figo: Messi & Neymar will form great partnership

Former Barcelona star Luís Figo believes that Lionel Messi and Neymar can form a potentially world-class partnership for the Spanish champions.

Neymar joined Barcelona for €57 million last month and will partner Messi and join a star-studded squad that includes Xavi, Andrés Iniesta, and Cesc Fàbregas.

And Figo has no doubt that the two forwards should thrive together and hinted that, should they not, it will be down to off-the-field issues.

Speaking ahead of a charity match in Venezuela on Saturday, Figo said: "Great players always understand each other. If they don't get on, it won't be because of football."
