The match between Real Madrid and Osasuna on Saturday was halted after barely a minute as José Mourinho was being hounded by a swarm of photographers on the touchline.
Mourinho, whose name was booed when it was read out before kick-off, lurked in the tunnel as his players went onto the field for their final-day game.
The Portuguese coach finally appeared as the match kicked off and photographers swarmed into the technical area en masse.
With stewards unable to control the throng of around 30 snappers, referee Miguel Ángel Pérez Lasa was forced to momentarily halt play to clear the photographers from the sidelines.
Once the photo opp was finished, Mourinho quietly took a seat on the team's bench.
And the Special One bowed out of the Bernabéu on a high after goals from Gonzalo Higuaín, Michael Essien, Karim Benzema, and José Callejón sealed a 4-2 victory for Los Blancos.
At the end of the game, Mourinho thanked the the crowd at south end before quickly disappearing down the tunnel.
