A beautiful solo goal from Carlos Vela sealed Real Sociedad's progression to the group stages of the Champions League as they eased past Olympique Lyon on Wednesday.
Sociedad led 2-0 ahead of their second-leg clash with Lyon at the Estadio Anoeta, but La Real, as a team that likes to play attacking football, apparently had little intention of trying to protect their advantage.
The Basque club took the lead in the 67th minute when Vela headed home unmarked from an Antoine Griezmann corner.
And Vela saved his best for last as he grabbed his second of the night with a brilliant solo effort in stoppage time.
The former Arsenal forward received the ball in his own half and left three defenders in the dust before coolly lifting the ball over Anthony Lopes in the Lyon goal.
"It has been a magical night for the club," Vela told Canal+. "I'm delighted to be a part of it."
