Comedy Own Goal: Filip Kurto (Roda JC) vs Utrecht
Table of Contents
Roda JC Kerkrade goalkeeper Filip Kurto was left looking embarrassed after scoring a fantastically unlucky own-goal against Utrecht in the Eredivisie on Saturday.
With the score even at 1-1 in the 41st minute, Utrecht regained the lead thanks to an unfortunate piece of goalkeeping from Kurto.
Jens Toornstra curled a free-kick towards the far post where the Polish goalkeeper stopped himself from reaching out for the ball on his jump, convincing that it would go wide.
However, the ball curved more than he thought as it came back off the post, hit him on the back of the head, and into the net.
The match would end 3-3 with Toornstra scoring again in the 87th minute to level it all up.
